Pakistanis took to the streets in all major cities of the country on Friday and condemned war on Iraq by the United States and its allies.
The rallies were staged at the call of the six religious party alliance, the Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).
Several other political groups, human rights and non-government organizations also organized demonstrations and the participants called for immediate halt to war in Iraq.
The MMA took out a big procession in Rawalpindi in which thousands of people declared that U.S. President Bush has emerged as the biggest terrorist at international level by imposing war on Iraq.
The demonstrators marched on the main road between the capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi, burning U.S flags and chanting slogans against Bush, Blair and their allies.
Hundreds of Islamabad traders also staged a rally at the Abbara market in the city. They said the war on Iraq has increased the concern of all section of society.
Anti-war rallies were also held in other major cities and towns of the country, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Quetta, Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan.
