Tens of thousands of people marched through the northern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Sunday in protest against the US-led war in Iraq, according to reports received in Islamabad.
The demonstrators passed a resolution demanding expulsion of the United States from the United Nations for launching attack on Iraq without the authorization of the UN Security Council.
The participants burnt US flags and effigy of US President George Bush.
The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribed with "Bush international Terrorist, "Bush launched attack on Islam," "Bush the enemy of Muslims" and "We strongly condemn war on Iraq."
The demonstration was organized by the six-party alliance of Islamic groups Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal.
