US Vehicles Continue to Evacuate from Turkish Logistic Bases
US military vehicles and soldiers continue to depart from two logistic bases in southeastern Turkey for the second day since the evacuation started on Sunday.

Vehicles were seen leaving Kitas Thread factory on Monday, which is one of the two factory-turned logistic bases in southeastern Turkey's Mardin Province. The United State has a total of nine logistic bases in southeastern Turkey.

While trucks carrying military vehicles leave for Incirlikl, a military airport in southeastern Turkey, and Iskenderun, the most important harbor in the Mediterranean Sea, empty trucks are still seen waiting in front of the bases.

US military equipment began to evacuate from logistic bases in Turkey after Turkey refused to allow the United States to use its land bases for military attack on its neighboring Iraq.

The United States has more than 10 military bases in Turkey. The bases had been planned to be used as launching-pad for a northern front against Iraq.

Turkey is a member country of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). It is reported that 94 percent of the population in NATO's member countries oppose the on-going war against Iraq.
