Following are the latest statistics from China's Ministry of Health on severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in the interior of China:
On April 15, four new cases and one death were reported in Guangdong Province in south China. Meanwhile, six patients in the province were discharged from hospital.
Shanxi Province in the north reported five new cases on the same day, while Beijing and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reported three and one new cases respectively.
The cumulative number of SARS cases had reached 1,445 by April 15, among which 65 people had died while 1,099 patients had recovered and been discharged from hospital.
