Six People Sentenced to Jail Terms for Disrupting Anti-SARS project
A local court has sentenced six people to jail terms ranging from two months to one year for disrupting a SARS-prevention project in Dujiangyan City, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

Wang Yiqiang, Feng Bo, Chen Ye, Wang Changrong, Ou Shunkang, and Xia Lunyuan were convicted of public disorder, said the People's Court of Dujiangyan.

On May 1, the six offenders mobilized hundreds of local people to stop the building of a quarantine area in a local hospital, spreading rumors and damaging facilities.

Their activities caused a traffic jam for three hours and a direct loss of 14,000 yuan (about 1,680 US dollars).
