High-profile Chinese athlete Liu Xiang has been invited to play the lead in a new movie called 'One Man's Olympics', which is due to start shooting at the end of May.
The Star Daily on Tuesday reported a number of other Chinese athletes have also been invited to join the cast, including diver Tian Liang, ping pong star Kong Linghui and former Olympic champion runner Wang Junxia.
The film will be directed by Hou Yong, who has won the Golden Rooster Award four times in the past. The internationally-acclaimed Chinese director, Zhang Yimou, has been asked to act as the artistic advisor.
