All parties to the fourth round of six-party talks made hard consultation on the revision of the joint document draft Monday, but the talks were proceeded with all parties "paying respect to each other" and holding "constructive" attitude, said a Russian official yesterday.
The official told reporters that the whole process of the talks did not avoid the toughest issue. All parties came to believe that to seek solution to the toughest issue is a shared wish for all.
Speaking highly of the role China has played in the talks, he said the Chinese side "appropriately" and "skillfully" led the talks onto a constructive road.
The six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue have entered the seventh day yesterday. Sources with the Chinese delegation said chief negotiators of all delegations made intensive consultation and contact, had in-depth discussion on the joint document, and simultaneously held consultation on the working level.
