China Continues Rescue Efforts

China is continuing its aid and rescue efforts in the countries of South and Southeast Asia as the tsunami death toll nears 140 thousand.

On Tuesday, China's fourth batch of aid arrived in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo. The supplies include medical equipment, blankets and food.

Chinese medical teams are already operating in the town of Galle in Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, a group of Chinese DNA experts is cooperating with some two hundred foreign counterparts to identify the bodies of tsunami victims.

In another development, Chinese companies in Kenya have donated 100 thousand Kenyan Schillings to the Kenyan victims of the tsunami.
