The 10th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th CPPCC National Committee held four workshops on building up a harmonious society Wednesday.
Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) attended these workshops, which focuses on social equity, social stability, social ethics and economic development and harmonious co-existence of human and nature.
Participants proposed to use taxation leverage and income redistribution policies to ensure low-income people's basic living standards, and work out ways to address public issues.
They also suggested to build up a social atmosphere valuing justice and prohibit any practice of hurting the natural environment.
