One hundred thousand Chinese personnel will go to the UK for short-term training before the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
They will account for one third of the total number of officials across the nation getting training overseas.
The trainees will range from provincial governors, ministers and department officials to senior engineers, college professors and primary school teachers.
They will receive training covering a variety of fields, such as English, finance, tourism, international trade and business administration.
