Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and US Secretary of State Colin Powell had a telephone conversation exchanged views on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue Sunday evening, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Li reiterated China's stance on the important issues in China-US relations, while Powell reiterated the United States would adhere to the one-China policy.
They also congratulated each other on the achievements athletes of the two countries made at the Athens Olympic Games.
