The 11th Global Conference of Women Entrepreneurs will be held from Sept. 16 to 19 in Beijing, a senior official of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) said Monday.
The conference, with the theme of "women entrepreneurship and global cooperation", will serve as a platform for women entrepreneurs from different countries to share information and experience, said Zhao Shaohua, ACWF's vice president at a press conference.
Besides discussions around sub-themes, such as partnership in globalization and developing women's small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the conference will hold an exhibition of Chinese women entrepreneurship and trade talks.
Over 500 participants from 25 countries and regions will participate in the event. Among them, more than 200 are from overseas, mainly from Asia and Europe. Mme. Svetlana Orlova, vice chairman of the Federal Assembly, Parliament of Russia, will also attend the conference.
The conference is convened by the ACWF and International Federation of Women Entrepreneurs (IFWE), in cooperation with the China Association of Women Entrepreneurs and the Beijing Women's Federation.
IFWE, established in 1993, is an international NGO of small and medium enterprises. It has members and associates in 21 countries and regions including the United States, Japan, France, China, Australia and Thailand.
