China is supporting the development of a draft APEC Anti-Corruption Action Policy.
China's representative at a two-day APEC meeting in Santiago, Chile, the Vice minister of Supervision of China, Huang Shuxian, has put forward three principles for the policy.
He says member countries need to respect sovereignty and equality and recognise specific countries problems in fighting corruption.
Huang Shuxian also says the policy needs to be legally applicable, and corrupted officials or those with illegally obtained assets need to be dealt with.
