China will host a cultural festival in Geneva in August to celebrate the 55th forging anniversary of Sino-Swiss diplomatic ties as well as the United Nations' 60th birthday.
China will be the eighth foreign host of the Geneva festival, initiated by the Geneva local government and tourism authorities 58 years ago to celebrate national culture and customs, according to a statement from the Information Office of China's State Council.
During the Aug. 4 to 14 event, China's 200-number delegation will present photo galleries about China's world heritages and scenic sites, martial arts shows, singing and dance performances and traditional folk art such as a shadow show.
