Chinese President Hu Jintao met with Moon Hee Sang, head of the Uri Party of the Republic of Korea(ROK), and his delegation in Beijing on Friday.
Hu said the relationship between China and the ROK has developed comprehensively since the two countries forged diplomatic ties 13 years ago, and the two sides have maintained frequent high-level exchanges of visit, and the cooperation of mutual benefit is fruitful.
The two countries have also maintained close consultations in international and regional affairs, Hu said, adding that the comprehensive and cooperative partnership between the two countries is the common aspiration of the two peoples.
He noted both the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Uri Party, the ruling parties, shoulder the responsibility of promoting bilateral ties. The CPC values the relations with the Uri Party and would like to push forward the comprehensive and cooperative partnership with the ROK.
Moon Hee Sang said the ROK and China share common interests and have the same concerns, and the cooperation between the two sides on economy, culture and other fields are satisfactory.
He said the Uri Party would like to further exchanges with the CPC to enhance the relations between the two countries in a stable and healthy way.
