Hong Kong will hold Asia Cultural Cooperation Forum on November 9-12, the Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) of Hong Kong announced in Hong Kong Wednesday.
The form, organized the third time by HAB, aims to provide a platform for cultural policy-makers and creative entrepreneurs from different countries and regions in Asia to share experiences on the development of creative industries, which enhance partnership between governments and facilitate progress of cultural industries in the Asian region.
Participants of the forum will focus their discussions on how to build the brand image of a country or city through the development of culture and creative industries under the theme -- Brand Asia of the forum.
One of the highlights of the forum will be the open forum, where delegates and internationally renowned speakers will be sharing their experiences in three main areas including Intellectual Property Protection, the Future of Asian Movies and Opportunities for Cross-cultural Publication.
The cultural ministers of eight Asian countries including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and Vietnam, and also the assistant to the Chinese minister of culture were invited to attend the forum.
