2 Militants Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Jabalya

Palestinian medics said Thursday that two Palestinian militants were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Jabalya refugee camp.

Moaweya Hassanein, chief of emergency in the Health Ministry, told Xinhua that two Palestinians were killed and eight wounded in the attack.

Witnesses, medics and security sources earlier said that three Palestinian militants were killed and eight injured as an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a Palestinian house in Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses said three militants were sitting in one of houses in the refugee camp, the biggest refugee camp in the region, as an Israeli drone fired two missiles at the house.

Security sources said two militants, members of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of the Fatah movement, were killed and a third was critically wounded.

It was the second deadly airstrike by Israeli drones in the Gaza Strip since Israel decided to resume targeted killings against militants.

The first airstrike occurred on Wednesday evening, when a member of the Popular Resistance Committees was killed as his car was hit by missiles in the town of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip.
