Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit has injected new vigor into Sino-Russian relations, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao.
"His visit was a complete success," said Liu at Tuesday's press briefing.
Liu said Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Putin had an overall review of a decade of relations and made strategic plans for the future. "They have reached a wide-ranging consensus after an in-depth discussion on major international issues," Liu said.
