Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen met with Gilbert Balibaseka Bukenya, Ugandan minister in charge of the presidency, and his party in Beijing Tuesday.
Qian gave a positive appraisal of Sino-Ugandan ties and expressed satisfaction with the smooth progress of bilateral relations since the forging of diplomatic ties between the two countries four decades ago and appreciated Uganda's efforts to increase and enhance their joint friendship and cooperation in all spheres.
Bukenya thanked China for its support and aid, and said he hoped that friendly cooperation would further improve.
