Top Legislator Li Peng Meets Philippine Counterpart
Top legislator Li Peng pledges the Chinese legislature will support and cooperate with the Philippine Parliament in holding the fourth session of the annual Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace, or AAPP.

Meeting with Philippine House Speaker Jose De Venecia Jr. at the ongoing AAPP executive council meeting in Beijing, Li Peng says frequent exchanges between the parliaments of the two countries have contributed greatly to their friendly cooperation.

He praised the important role the AAPP plays in times of international and regional instability, and believes the exchanges between member countries during the current meeting will greatly help bilateral and multilateral dialogue and cooperation.
