China attaches great importance to Sino-Argentine relations and will work with Argentina for the growth of full-range cooperative partnership in the 21st century, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said in Beijing Monday.
Li made the remark while meeting with visiting Foreign Minister of Argentina Rafael Bielsa.
Li noted that over the years, the two countries have increased mutual understanding and political trust. They have also had good cooperation in international and regional affairs.
Bielsa, who arrived in Beijing Sunday on an official visit, said during the talks with Li that China is very important in Argentina's foreign relations, and that to strengthen bilateral relations with China conforms to the needs of Argentina's economic and social development.
Bielsa stressed that Argentina will continue to firmly uphold the one-China policy.
He said Argentina hopes to further expand cooperation with China in agricultural and biological technology in particular.
