The warm weather is not helping the recently opened ski slopes around Beijing to invite the recreational acolytes to the joys of winter. But they are still open for business, even though the daily temperature can reach as high as nine degrees.
According to Beijing's local Chinese media, some ski slopes are suffering a financial loss of 1 million yuan (US$125,000) every day, as they fight to make more snow for those die-hard fans.
Prices to enter the recreational parks have risen 10 per cent to compensate.
Last year, skiing in Beijing cost between 50 to 70 yuan (US$6 - 8.4) per hour. For now, no slope will accept less than 70 yuan (US$8.5) per hour.
Nevertheless, customer service has never been higher, with staff being more professional. The recently built slopes around the city has also increase competition.
Here are the slopes on different ski parks around Beijing. We hope it can help you decide which is the best destination for you, and your friends, to have a fun ski trip on weekends.
