A China Air plane collided with a lamppost on its descent into Guiyang Airport, in Southwest China's Guiyang city. Although the wing of the plane was damaged, no passengers were injured.
The cause of the crash may have been poor light as the plane landed at 11pm yesterday. Flight CA4350 from Guangzhou was intended for Chongqing but because of heavy fog over Chongqing airport it was diverted to Guiyang.
Officials at Guiyang Airport have only confirmed that the plane did bump into a lamp-post and that all 132 passengers on the flight were safe.
Heavy fog in the southwest of the country has affected aviation safety in many cities, causing planes to land in alternate airports.
