In preparation for the pending travel spree during the Spring Festival or China's Lunar New Year, Air Macao has planned to increase 137 flights to meet passengers' demand.
The airliner announced on Tuesday that the company has planned to increase the flights on route linking Macao to China's mainland and Taiwan from Jan. 31 to Feb. 18, when passengers are either back for family reunion or on travel vacations.
The company said that it will be the highest number of flights the company prepares for the Spring Festival period. Most of the operation will be added to facilitate the service on routes between Macao and Taipei in Taiwan, and Macao and Shenzhen in south China's Guangdong Province.
Founded in 1994, Air Macao is the only airline company based in Macao with a fleet of 14 planes. It is among the youngest teams in Asia.
