News of the meningitis epidemic hitting the country continues to dominate the front pages of most Chinese newspapers.
Beijing's Morning Newspapers like The Beijing News, The Beijing Times and The Beijing Daily Messenger all reported that c-type meningitis vaccine is being imported to Beijing to prepare for the epidemic.
Medical experts say so far no c-type meningitis, which is the most infectious, has been found in Beijing.
But there are concerns that people in Beijing have no defense against the virus.
So far 100 thousand vaccine injections have been brought in to Beijing.
To prevent the disease from spreading, measures are taken, especially in the transport sector.
In Guangzhou, body temperature detecting machines have been set up, and travelers with the body temperature above 38 degrees Celsius will be examined before they are allowed to get on a train.
While in Beijing, the Beijing Times reports that train stations in the capital have improved their air conditioning systems, and promised to give people a free medical check up if they feel uncomfortable.
