Beijing Municipal Bureau of Health has urged health authorities to keep a close eye on hygiene in the capital's restaurants, during the Spring Festival.

An extensive hygiene examination was launched on Tuesday.

All restaurants that can accommodate 100 people at one time will be targets of the examination.
