Known Scenic Spots to Rise Ticket Price

Vistors to Jiuzhaigou Valley and Huanglong Scenic Area probably will have to pay more on the tickets.

Sichuan Provincial Price Bureau will hold a hearing on whether and how to raise the price of tourist entrance tickets to Jiuzhaigou Valley and the Huanglong scenic area.

It will take place on March 17 in Paradise, Jiuzhaigou Valley.

The administrations of these two scenic areas have refused to comment on the price rise.

It’s expected that visitors will be set back at least 315 yuan or about US$38 for a trip to the Jiuzhaigou Valley.

Travel agencies have reacted calmly to the news, saying higher prices won’t considerably reduce the number of tourists. Travel agencies are not allowed to sell discount tickets to Jiuzhaigou Valley.
