Southern Travel Service, a travel agent owned by China Southern Airlines, has announced a one yuan (US$0.12) tour of Thailand to celebrate its one hundred thousand Southeast Asia tourist record, according to Naifang Daily, a local newspaper based in south China’s Guangzhou City.
The one yuan includes return airfare, hotel and tickets to scenic attractions.
Visitors have to pay 258 yuan for airport taxes and 300 yuan for a visa application fee.
Compared with the cheapest 830-yuan Thailand tour on the market, the special offer saves about 300 yuan.
Sources from the Southern Travel Agency say the one yuan trip will cover almost every sight, as same as six-day routine luxury tour package, including the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
The travel agent said that three tour groups are available before the hot weeklong May Day holiday comes.
