Two Chinese tourists who were seriously injured Thursday in a traffic accident in Laos returned to Kunming, the capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province at 9:40 a.m. Sunday.
The two were among a group of 12 Chinese tourists who left for Laos April 17 under the guidance of a Chinese tourist agency.
The tour bus tumbled 200 km from the Laotian capital Vientiane. Six people died in the accident and two were seriously injured. The remaining six were slightly hurt.
The bumpy road was blamed for the accident.
According to the information office of the Yunnan Provincial Government, lives of the two seriously injured are out of danger.
Three of the tourists who died in the accident were from southwest China's Sichuan Province and the others came from Yunnan, the southern Guangdong Province and north China's Liaoning Province.
Laos is not popular destination for Chinese tourists and the accident was the first serious one involving Chinese visitors to the country.
