Thailand has cemented its tourism reputation by running off with the Best Tourism Country Award from a leading Swedish travel magazine for the fourth consecutive year, the Thai News Agency reported Thursday.

Thailand was one of 10 countries proposed for this year's award from the widely read Travel News Magazine, in which 600 tourism companies were asked to vote for the world's best tourist nation.

Thailand received 5.32 points out of a total of 6, while South Africa received 4.83, the United States 4.56 and Brazil 4.39.
