The Imperial Palace Museum logo collection activity has failed to choose a final work after several rounds of selection that took one year.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Imperial Palace Museum. In order to accurately express the profound cultural essence of the Imperial Palace and to promote traditional Chinese culture, the Palace Museum began to collect logo designs from the public in May 2004.
The museum collected a total of 2,788 designs.
On January 19, 2005, 22 works were selected by a committee. After that, the field was narrowed to six, which were placed on the Imperial Palace website for voting.
In the middle of March, the Imperial Palace invited a design company to make some adjustments to two of the submissions, but the final designs were not approved by the judge committee. Most committee members think the designs do not accurately reflect the prestige of the Imperial Palace Museum.
