Visitors will soon be able to enjoy a spa in the former oil producing city of Daqing in northeast China.
Since 2004, the industrial city began to developing a tourism industry around the high-quality, thermal springs in the region.
One billion yuan has been invested to build villas, hotels and support facilities, which are all expected to be complete by 2006.
These projects are expected to increase annual tourist revenue by 200 million yuan.
The city of Daqing is an important base of petroleum and petrochemistry in northeast China.
