Chefs to Gather in Duck Town for Skill Competition

Chefs and gourmands fond of ducks will gather in China’s duck town, Yiliang County in Yunnan Province, to show off their skills and win an award at a duck festival, which will be held in the town from September 15 to 17.

Among various events, people will select the deft hand for cleaning ducks, the skillful hand for cooking ducks and those who are best at eating ducks.

For the deft hand for cleaning ducks, chefs that use the quickest and cleverest way to clean the most number of ducks will win. In cooking duck competition, people should show their cooking skills to others and make the most tasteful duck. In the easting game, gourmands, who have a tongue for different flavors of ducks, could win the price by eating the most number of ducks in a certain time.

Apart from the duck competition, the county will also display some of its other local products, like rice and chestnut, on the festival.
