China's first automatic boarding system has been launched in the Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou City on Friday. China Southern Airlines is the first airline company in the country providing the new service.
At Baiyun airport, passengers with the Southern Airlines' tickets will be able to get their boarding cards from special computers located at the airliner's counter. They can also choose seats from the computer system. Ding Lei, a top designer from Netease.com, was the first person to try on the new service.
Top software architect in Netease.com Ding lei said, "I think it's very convenient. I don't need to stand in line any more, and the most important thing is that I can choose the seat by myself."
The new "electronic ticket-automatic boarding system" takes only a few seconds to print a boarding card. The service is especially convenient for the customers who don't have any luggage to check in. Apparently, it will help the rushing passengers to save quite a lot of time.
