Two Confirmed Dead in South China's Train Collision

Two people died in a train collision earlier this week in south China's Guangdong Province, local sources confirmed on Friday.

Two passenger trains collided on Tuesday morning between the stations of Linzhai and Dongshui on the railway linking the national capital of Beijing with Kowloon of Hong Kong.

More than 20 people were injured in the accident, after which four carriages of a train derailed.

The two dead, one man and one woman, were both workers on the train, said the manager of the funeral home of Shantou, a city near the accident site.

Cause of the accident is being investigated.
