Hong Kong on Monday opened four more automatic border-clearance channels for vehicle drivers to pass through the check point connecting the city and Shenzhen on the mainland side.
The four vehicular e-channels have been activated at Man Kam Tocontrol point, which is one-hour drive from the downtown of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong permanent residents can use their smart identity cards to perform clearance at the vehicular e-channels.
With increasing people and goods passing through the three check points connecting Hong Kong and the mainland, the government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has opened more and more e-channels to fasten the border-clearance process of travelers and vehicles.
