Greece and India expressed on Monday their strong willingness to strengthen their cooperation in tourism field.
Greece plans to open a tourist office in India aiming to promote tourism cooperation between the two countries, Greek Tourism Development Minister Fani Palli-Petralia told reporters after meeting with visiting Indian Minister for External Relations Anand Sharma.
During their talks, the two sides discussed ways to further promote bilateral cooperation in tourism.
The Indian minister stressed that the two countries have major prospects of cooperating in tourism technology, public relations and constructions, as well as promoting Greek tourism through India's flourishing film industry.
Both ministers also discussed a proposal to launch direct flights between Athens and New Delhi.
