Two foreign tourists, who were wounded in an attack in downtown Amman on Monday, were released from a hospital Tuesday, Jordan's official Petra news agency reported.
Two women, one British and one Australian, left Prince Hamzah Hospital after receiving proper treatment, Petra said, adding that another wounded British tourist was still recovering in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Director of Al-Bashir Hospital Mohammad Rawabdeh said that one Dutch tourist underwent a surgery Monday before being transferred to a medical center.
On Monday, a Jordanian gunman shot at a group of foreign tourists near Amman's Roman amphitheater, killing one Briton and wounding six others.
The Jordanian authorities captured the gunman, identifying him as Nabeel Ahmed Issa Jaourah, and interrogation was underway to see if he was related with any militant groups.
