Xiamen Airlines announced Thursday its schedule of the cross-Straits chartered flights for the Mid-Autumn Day.
The company is set to arrange two Xiamen-Taipei-Xiamen flights in China's week-long National Day vacation, during which the traditional mid-autumn day will also fall in.
The flight on October 1 will take off at 1 PM from Xiamen, Fujian Province, and arrive in Taipei in one hour and a half. The flight will leave Taipei for Xiamen at 3:30 PM on the same day.
The flight on October 7 will take off at 12:00 AM from Xiamen and return from Taipei at 2:30 PM.
Xiamen Airlines, which was appointed to be the only company in charge of the chartered flights between Xiamen, Fujian Province, and Taiwan, reported it "has already made good preparation for the flights."
Snack food of south China and Taiwan styles as well as moon cakes will be served on board, said the company source.
The crewmembers can speak both mandarin and the south Fujian dialect, which is also spoken by most Taiwanese.
