Heavy rain is expected to hit north China in the next two days to bring in cool weather as a heat, sweltering wave are lingering in southern and eastern China.
The areas along the lower reaches of the Yellow and Huaihe Rivers as well as northeast China will experience heavy rains and possibly thundershowers, strong winds and hails in the next two days, according to a source with the Central Meteorological Station on Sunday.
The rain would be followed by much cooler and more comfortable weather, the station source added.
Some parts of Qinghai province, in northwest China, will have heavy rain on July 28 and 29, and the southern part of northwest China's Gansu province, northern Shaanxi province, and central and northern Shanxi province will, too, see heavy rain or downpours on July 29 and 30.
Most provinces and autonomous regions in northern China are going to have rainfall in the next two days.
