The Hip Hop Boot Camp initiated by Joe Jackson, father of superstar
Michael, will expect hip hop talents from Singapore and Malaysia to
attend auditions for a chance to compete in 2007, a publicist told
China.org.cn on Saturday.
Ms Gail Felix, one of the project's press team, said the Hip Hop
Boot Camp was spinning the vinyl in Singapore on November 2, 2006,
when Joe Jackson the father of he world renowned musical Jackson
family, arrives to announce the Singapore "Clean Hip Hop" Music
Talent Competition.
The semi finalists will be groomed at the Boot Camp in New York
which is home to hip hop. The group will then return home having
learned a Hip Hop trick or two to compete for the grand prize in
Singapore.
The Joe Jackson Hip Hop Boot Camp establishes international music
competitions where the most promising young talent can be
discovered, showcased and promoted before worldwide audiences, the
media and music industry. The Joe Jackson initiative exclusively
promotes the musical concept of "Clean Hip Hop" without vulgarity
or offensive lyrics.
Joe Jackson's world famous son Michael will make a rare public
appearance at the World Music Awards in London on November 15 to
collect a Diamond Award. It's presented to artists who sell over
100 million records. An exclusive interview with the "King of Pop"
will be aired on NBC's Access Hollywood program on November 2.
