The wealthy ladies in east China's Zhejiang Province are proving
they're deeper than their Louis Vuitton handbags by joining the new
Red Cross charity club for the well to do.
Zhao Li is a successful entrepreneur with her own beauty salon. She
says she has always worked on charitable activities in her spare
time, like donating to a primary school in Tibet. Now she's decided
to commit herself further by joining the new club set up by the
Zhejiang Red Cross.
China News Service quotes Zhao Li as saying the more money she
earns, the less satisfied she feels about the life. She thinks
joining the club offers her and many others the opportunity to
enrich their lives by participating in public welfare work.
Wang Jianbo, Vice Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Red Cross,
says the club aims to help more generous and rich ladies
participate in charity work and spread their love to more needy
people.
