"We met each other because of roller-skating, so we decided to celebrate our wedding this way."
 
This past weekend, a trend-setting groom in Beijing's Tiantongyuan community held a unique wedding ceremony for his bride -- a roller-skating parade.

The fully-dressed couple, accompanied by their friends, all wearing roller skates, paraded around their neighborhood. They tied ribbons on their arms and colorful balloons on their backpacks to add more wedding flavor to the event.

The bride Zhang Ling says they all graduated from Beijing Sports University. After graduation, she went to work at the roller-skating rink run by the groom Fan Wenyu, and it was there that they fell in love with each other.

After they decided to tie the knot, the groom came up with the idea of including roller-skating in their wedding ceremony to make their big day even more special.
