The annual Beijing Pop Music Awards ceremony was held for the
second time on Tuesday.
Dubbed the most distinctive of mainland award ceremonies, it
rewards the authorship of songs. This niche criterion attracted
many stars to attend the ceremony, in addition to all of the
nominated singers.
Furthermore, attendees were treated to live performances from Xu
Wei and Zheng Jun.
From various tightly-fought categories, JJ Lin Junjie walked
away with the highest number of awards - five - and pop duo Yu Quan
with four. Super girl champion Li Yuchun won three awards. And
Zhang Liangying was awarded honours as best female singer.
Best singer-songwriter awards were given to Wang Zheng and Kenji Wu
Kequn, while others, such as Angela Zhang Shaohan, Fish Leong, Wang
Zheng and The Flowers also received recognition.
