MTV Networks and the Body Shop have jointly launched the "Stop
HIV: Spray to Change Attitudes" campaign on Tuesday in Hong Kong,
to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS among young people.
The campaign aims to raise funds for MTV's Staying-Alive
Foundation, with the selling of a limited edition Rougeberry
fragrance in the Body Shop chain stores in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong female singer Denise Ho was invited for the promotion
of the perfume.
Besides the release of the perfume, the activity includes the
broadcasting of a TV trailer on MTV's round-the-clock Chinese
language channel and an auction of original "Rougeberry" artworks
by Australian graffiti artist Sarah Howell.
MTV's Staying-Alive Foundation has offered assistance to many
HIV carriers since its foundation, said Hoyan Mok, director of the
Marketing and Communications Department of MTV Asia, and the
campaign will further support its HIV youth prevention programs
around the world.
Chen Yuezhen, an officer from the Body Shop, said it was an
honor to take part in such an activity. She hoped the fund would go
to those in needs.
MTV Networks is a global music television network founded in
1981 in the US.
The Body Shop is an international personal care and cosmetics
chain store operator, founded in the UK in 1976.
