Hong Kong award-winner Aaron Kwok's new movie Silver
Emperor has finished shooting, according to a press conference
held Monday in Beijing.
Lead actor Aaron Kwok teamed up with veteran Chinese mainland
actor Zhang Tielin, actress He Lei, director Yao Shuhua and
producer Peggy Chiao to talk about the movie with the press.
Taiwan entrepreneur Terry Gou is the biggest investor of the
movie with a budget of 10 million US dollars.
The movie is adapted from Shanxi writer Chen Yi's novel
Silver Valley, which tells the story of a Shanxi merchant
family in the late Qing Dynasty.
Producer Peggy Chiao said on Monday that the movie would take
six months to finish in post-production.
Also inspired by the novel was the Chinese TV drama named
Silver Valley, which was well-received by audiences last
year.
