Officials, film distributors and Internet service operators
between both China and the United States have expressed their
readiness to cooperate and forge a more effective protection of
film copyrights online.
The message came from a Wednesday forum on film copyrights
protection, jointly held in Beijing by the Internet Society of
China and Motion Picture Association of America.
An official from China's National Copyright Administration told
the seminar that China honors its relevant regulations on
protecting online items including movies. China has taken concrete
measures in combating production and spreading of pirated items
online.
CEO of the office of Motion Picture Association of America in
China, Yu Jun, told China Radio International that the American
side appreciates China's stance and efforts made in that regard. He
hopes a cooperated film copyright protection online will help
facilitate a more friendly environment in China for copyrighted
film products.
