Audiences will be able to see a clash between Chinese
traditional culture and Korean pop culture at the forthcoming
Beijing Concert held by Korean actress and singer Jang Nara.
The People's Daily reports that Guo Degang, the blockbuster
artist of traditional cross-talk or comic talk show, will present
his latest work The Romance of the Three Kingdoms as a
guest performer at the concert.
According to her manager, Jang Nara also hopes to learn Chinese
cross-talk from Guo Degang.
Jang Nara's father, who is a famous stage drama actor in Korea,
has been looking forward to communicating with Chinese artists in
drama and folk arts. He would like to see his daughter learn from
Guo Degang, Jang Nara's manager said.
Guo Degang joked that Jang Nara's sense of humor suffices for
cross-talk, although her Chinese language proficiency does not! As
an exchange, he may turn to Jang Nara and her father to learn
Korean pop dances someday.
Jang Nara's solo concert will be held on June 8 and 9 at Beijing
Exhibition Center Theatre.
