The production team of Ang Lee's latest hit, Lust,
Caution, explains that the reason why the film has failed to
open the 64th Venice Film Festival is that they can't finish
post-production editing in time.
The Beijing Times reports on Thursday that
Director Ang Lee is now in New York working on the editing.
According to the report, however, that they still can't finish
it by the opening ceremony.
Marco Muller, director of Film Festival, says that they will
wait for Lust, Caution to compete for the Golden Lion at
the festival.
Joe Wright's Atonement has been confirmed to open the
festival on August 29. The report quoted Muller as saying that the
festival should offer more chances to the younger generation.
The 64th Venice Film Festival will continue until September
8.
