Hong Kong singing and acting idol Kelly Chan is now in Beijing
shooting an advertisement for a moon cake company. In the ad she
showcases her newly obtained skill — martial arts.
The ads plot revolves around the pop diva's real life story,
China's portal website sina.com reports. Recently she has been in
Beijing preparing to shoot the new film Jiang Shan Mei
Ren, literally, The Kingdom and The Beauty, in which
she plays a female warrior. For this, she has to practice martial
arts everyday.
In the ad, Kelly is practicing her skills like always late at
night, when suddenly she realizes it's Mid Autumn Day — a
traditional Chinese festival when all family members are supposed
to get together and enjoy eating moon cakes, symbolizing the family
unit. While she is lamenting being away from her family and
hometown, Hong Kong, her father unexpectedly shows up and brings to
her moon cakes as a gift.
"I spend every Mid Autumn Day with my family," says the
33-year-old idol, "eating moon cakes together with family members
mean a lot to me."
"It's the first time for me to shoot an ad for a moon cake
company, the best part is that I can now get moon cakes for free,"
she adds.
Having been in the entertainment industry for more than ten
years, Kelly Chan has been thinking about withdrawing from the
spotlight after her marriage.
"I want to be a good wife and a good mother, and have as many as
ten children," she beams.
